Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him. 2And when Jacob saw them he said, “This is God’s camp!” So he called the name of that place Mahanaim.

  1. A relationship with God.

You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons. I Corinthians 10:21

Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4 ESV

Whole Heart!

How can a young man keep his way pure?By guarding it according to your word.10With my whole heart I seek you;let me not wander from your commandments!11I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:9-11 ESV

You must always be careful to keep the decrees and regulations, the laws and commands he wrote for you. Do not worship other gods. 38Do not forget the covenant I have made with you, and do not worship other gods. 39Rather, worship the Lord your God; it is he who will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies.” 40They would not listen, however, but persisted in their former practices. 41Even while these people were worshiping the Lord, they were serving their idols.  II Kings 17:37-41

  1. The restoration with people.

Esau said, “What do you mean by all this companya that I met?” Jacob answered, “To find favor in the sight of my lord.” 9But Esau said, “I have enough, my brother; keep what you have for yourself.” 10Jacob said, “No, please, if I have found favor in your sight, then accept my present from my hand. For I have seen your face, which is like seeing the face of God, and you have accepted me. 11Please accept my blessing that is brought to you, because God has dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough.” Thus he urged him, and he took it. Genesis 33:8-11 ESV

“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift. Matthew 5:23 NIV

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.25“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. Mark 11:23-24

  1. Recognize that you are Blessed to be a Blessing

Blessed are those who fear the LORD, who find great delight in his commands. Their children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever. Psalm 112:1-3 NIV

TITHING

Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine. Proverbs 3:9-10 ESV

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. Proverbs 18:21 ESV

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others. Matthew 23:23 ESV

It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow to it. Proverbs 10:22

Jacob passes on the blessing with his children and grandchildren.
