TAKING A STAND

Pilate then went back inside the palace, summoned Jesus and asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?”34“Is that your own idea,” Jesus asked, “or did others talk to you about me?”

35“Am I a Jew?” Pilate replied. “Your own people and chief priests handed you over to me. What is it you have done?” 36Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fightto prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.” 37“You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” “What is truth?” retorted Pilate. John 18:33

Daniel 3

  1. DON’T STOP STANDING.

We will never bow down we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up. Vs 18

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your standagainst the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to standyour ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firmthen, with the belt of truth.  Ephesians 6

  1. DON’T STOP SPEAKING.

“O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. 17If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. 18But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.” Vs 16-18

It is by the name of Jesus Christof Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11Jesus is “ ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ a12Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other nameunder heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” “What are we going to do with these men?” they asked. “Everyone living in Jerusalem knows they have performed a notable sign, and we cannot deny it. 17But to stop this thing from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them to speak no longer to anyone in this name.”Acts 4

III. DON’T STOP SERVING.

“Stand firm.Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” I Corinthians 15:58
